Ram Upgrade HP 2000-239wm

I have a laptop that I was looking to upgrade the ram in. The model is HP 2000-239wm(Specs can be found here-> http/h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02888154 ). I found some ram for sale that I think would work, but I don't know for certain. Package of them says 8 gb ddr3l-1600 cl9 204- pin SODIMM kit (2x4 gb). The ram itself says HX316LS9IBK2/8 CPMK0821610 Kit of 2 13th.

Whenever I want to do a RAM upgrade, I go to crucial.com, download their free tool and run it. It will examine your computer and tell you what your options are. They'll offer to sell it to you, but you don't have to buy from them if you don't want to.

I checked it and the ram I was looking to buy matched up with the stuff on crucial, so I got it and tried using it. All I get is a black screen. It seems like it starts up as normal(fans, lights, etc.) but screen is blank
