ram upgrade options?

Hello all. I have a question, I have recently purchased a laptop that has Mobile Intel HM87 Express Chipset Mainboard. My question is: the lap top came with 1600 Mhz memory, but I am wondering what the fastest memory this particular mainboard will support is? Or is it even possible to change out the memory in a laptop, or on this particular mainboard?
