Random crashes, slow internet

I just bought a laptop and i haven't used it at all yet, ive downloaded adblock and chrome, thats it.
The model is ThinkPad x1

My internet connection is very slow, this is not a problem for my main computer, nor my phone

whenever i try to do just about anything, ex: playing a youtube clip, the network will work for 10 min then crash, the internet disappears and the list of wi-fi's disappears completely, and doesnt show back up.
ive tried to uncheck IPv6, doesnt work

Can you update the WiFi driver (you may need to download it from another computer)? And did you buy the laptop with a clean install of Windows, or did your friend sell it to you with a bunch of stuff already loaded onto it?

Ive tried updating it, and when i bought it it was wiped clean
nothing on it, thats why im so confused

Which WiFi adapter is it (make and model)? And where are you getting the driver(s) from, exactly?

Do you have any other WiFi cards or even external USB adapters you can try?

Not necessarily, it could be a loose cable or problematic drivers. Realtek and Killer cards, for example, have a bit of a turbulent history with driver stability.
