Random Frame Drop

I have had my laptopfor a long time and it got turned all the way off by itself. When I turned it back on and loaded minecraft the frames were at 20 but I'm used to 60. I don't know how to fix it. I have updated my computer, and am using 1.8.8 plus optifine. HELP!

Its s laptop and was shut down without me doing anything or updating it.
