RAW versus JPG

Canon SX60HS takes very sharp JPG but as I do extensive pp in Lightroom and Photoshop I use RAW. I cannot sharpen the RAW images as well as the JPG. Is this a camera fault?

Nope, it's 100% your fault

You just need to learn how to bring out the best sharpness without making up "detail". You can usually boost "clarity" a bit and then set noise reduction as low as possible before bringing the sharpness settings up.
