So I bought a new Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset about a month ago which worked flawlessly. One day a couple of days ago my headset stopped producing in-game sound while I was playing some GTA 5. The weird thing was that I could still hear and talk to my friends on skype. This turned out to be bigger problem than initially thought. Only skype and "windows" sounds were produced meaning I could't play any games or watch any videos with sound. I tried using my other headphones, Razer Hammerhead Pro, which worked no problem. I have heard that this is quite the problem with the razer kraken 7.1, but none of the fixes have really helped me.
Info about fixes for other people I have tried
I have the correct driver, labeled Razer Inc.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Razer Synapse 2.0.
I have restarted my Computer multiple times.
I have removed the "Kraken helper" from activity monitor.
Also the "unmute all applications fix" does not work either since I have no applicaitons in my razer mixer. Only skype appears when in a call or when sound is produced through skype.
Not using Synapse at all doesn't work.
Also lowering or increasing the volume from my keyboard doesn't affect the sound i recieve from skype, even though it's at 0 i can hear them as good as if it was on 100.
