I have two wireless speakers which has a base transmitter which plugs into a receiver w/ small audio plug.
I would like to be able to use these as the rear two speakers in a 5.1 system.
The rear out is only shown on the speaker outputs of the receiver but does not have an audio plug connection for these only from the receiver.
I could simply use audio out on receiver w/ adapter but would then get all sound to the back speakers which would ruin the effect.
Is it possible to make this work?

Connect a speaker to line level converter

to the surround speaker output of the receiver. That will only send the correct output to the speakers. If you hear constant distortion you may be overloading the input of the transmitter so I suggest getting one with controls on it like the one in the link. You will have to balance the rear channels so they play at the right volume.
