receiver repair help

HT-591 powers up then immediately shuts off. The unit does have power to it but won't stay on

If it does that with nothing connected to it then it is going into protection due to a problem in the receiver. Hope it's under warranty.
If it doesn't do it without any inputs or speakers connected connect one speaker wire at a time to figure out which speaker cable or speaker is the problem. Then connect one input at a time.
