Redirecting Software Folder Sources

How can I fool an application in thinking it's reading the original source, but really being redirected to another folder in another location.

Let's say application X stores it's temp files in "C/Program Files/X/cache". How can I redirect or fool the application to another folder, like "F/Program Files/X/cache". Let's say application X doesn't have a built-in setting to change the cache root, is there some kind of software that fools and redirects applications into reading another directory?

Sorry, I don't wanna have to program anything. Is there some tool that will do this for me?

You can 'install' an application in whatever folder you want. You have to do that while installing it though.

@Belkon - "Junction / reparse points" is the tool to use. If you ask for GIU - Google/Bing is your friend, and reading MS documentation.

I guess we should back up and determine why you want to do this....

@USAFret - there might be a "legitimate" reason. Imagine a setup with smallish SSD as a boot drive, and poorly written application which insist of putting everything under C:\ProgramData\MyApp\.
