Define failure. Should we use unemployment numbers? Or GDP growth numbers? Or total wealth numbers? Or budget deficit? Deficit as a percentage of GDP? Total debt? Debt as a percentage of GDP?

We all know who the biggest failure is over the last 30 years using any of those hard statistics.
