Repair help please

My little guy just yanked kinda hard on the charger cord of my tablet and now it wont charge right. Can't seek Tech Support because the company just recently went out of business. Please help.

how does the plug fit in the tablet now?is it loose?depending on how it happened one of the wires might be broken inside the insulation.the best thing to do here is take the charger to a computer store and tell them you want to check for power at this plug.dont let them do anything more at this time.if you know someone who has a multimeter and knows how to use it they can do the same thing.if you have no power at the tablet end the problem is likely in the cord.if the cord is detachable you may just be able to get a new cord.if not get a new charger.if you do have power at the tablet end of the cord then the socket in the laptop is damaged.this will require a repair from a reputable source.
