repeating charging notification when i plug in my computer charger to my asus lap top

the charging notification continuously pops up, is it constantly charging or is it bad for it to go in and out like that?

Sounds like you may have a loose or bad connection somewhere between the wall and laptop. If the charger keeps getting re-detected this will happen. Try wiggling each connection to see if the issue will appear.
