Replace All in spell-check (Word 2013) (Windows 10), does not replace all. I continually have to replace a misspelled word after I have chosen replace all.

Solution
Thanks.

Very clear that you have the appropriate knowledge and experience....

Perhaps there is some missing update in your Word 2013 software. Especially so if "F&R" is working in 2010.

Not sure what else to suggest other than perhaps contact Microsoft and see if they can offer some insight. You most likely will end up going in circles a bit.... However, with any luck you will get a rep who can say "aha" and provide a fix.

Thanks...

Four questions then:

1) Have you checked the other replacement settings/options available via clicking the "More" button in the Find & Replace window?

2) Is there a pattern to the replacements that are made; does the replacement stop after just one correction, two corrections, only works in one chapter/section maybe....? Etc..

3) Have you clicked the Show/Hide icon (backwards looking paragraph symbol) to reveal the hidden formatting symbols?

4) What is the word that needs to be replaced and what is the correction?

Yes. I am very familiar with the “More” function of Find & Replace and use it every time.

2) Is there a pattern to the replacements that are made; does the replacement stop after just one correction, two corrections, only works in one chapter/section maybe....? Etc..

A pattern is difficult to ascertain. I have no way of knowing if it did correct a few and then stop, as it corrected them. I deal with manuscripts from people who often spell phonetically, and it is my job to correct those errors. (Suprise vs Surprise)

3) Have you clicked the Show/Hide icon (backwards looking paragraph symbol) to reveal the hidden formatting symbols?

I use it (when I first correct the formatting) but don’t keep it turned on. I turn it off as it clutters the screen.

4) What is the word that needs to be replaced and what is the correction?

It’s not just one word, but many. However, F&R does work on some words. As an additional piece of information, when I work on the same manuscript on my machine with Office 2010, F&R works correctly.

Thank you for you assistance.
