Replace WXGA+ with WXGA LCD

Hi, so my laptop screen is broken and from what I've read its a WXGA+. The resolution of the broken screen is 1440x900 and the replacement I'm looking at is 1280x800 and is WXGA. I found people having issues going from WXGA to WXGA+ because of the display cable but if I was to do the opposite would it be fine? Thanks

It worked fine
