replacing motherboard problems

My Laptop is Y430 and just replace the motherboard . After replacing it the screen is black and no display. I tried connecting to the external screen and there is still no display.

Have you double checked all of the motherboard connections? Specifically the connection between the screen and the motherboard? Since you are also getting a black screen with an external monitor it may not be the screen connection. Is everything else working as it should (powering up, HDD spinning, indicator lights working, etc.)?
