This is all a bunch of BS!!! If any of you people pay attention, AT&T just managed to extend it exclusivity with the iPhone for another 6 months. So this means that the iPhone 4G/HD WILL, I repeat WILL, be on AT&T. So for all you hopeful Verizon people, too bad. But I do believe that since AT&T only extended its exclusivity for 6 months, Apple will release the iPhone 4G/HD on Verizon towards the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011.

Maybe its just me but this iPhone crap is really getting out of hand. The tech press has been going back and forth for what seems like forever on whether Verizon will get the iPhone or not. How about this! Find out for sure or SHUT THE F&^% UP!!!! This simply isnt news anymore its a joke and you people who print stories like this without knowing for sure make yourselves look like idiots. It's all speculation crap. I already heard from someone who works at Verizon that apple and at&t have already signed an exclusive contract to renew the iphone -- so don't expect it on Verizon any time soon.

This is slightly incorrect. It is not Verizon that "does not allow" talk and web at the same time, but a limitation of CDMA technology.

seems like a providor war to me, so since it is ill add my observations.

I keep hearing sprint is faster, but I have yet found a place where Sprint's service is good enough to mannage it.

If you are satisfied to park your backside under a microwave tower to beat Verizon, go for it.

LTE is so much better than existing "3G" services, that it's not even funny. So you've got this amazing new service that comes after 3G, there's no reason that all the carriers shouldn't turn LTE into the de facto 4G service. Unless you think they should call it 3.9G.

I love AT&T and have been with the network since they were celluar one. I get service in places were verizon doesn't and always have full signal were verizon does. I never experience dropped calls either. I think it depends on the area in which you are in. New Jersey is completely covered as far as both carriers "maps" go. Also, they have wonderful customer service and people who care, when my fiance past away I was sure I would be locked in our family plan for another two years, but they were very understanding and even waived the fee for switching to an independent plan. Also, they do not charge a fee if your phone gets stolen or you mis-place it. A friend of mine with verizon lost her phone and she wanted to suspend the service, verizon would do it, but would charge her $175 to do so and if she found it they would make her pay to reactivate it. If this happens and you are on AT&T not only can you suspend your service right online, but you can also reactivate it online without penalty. AT&T has always been behind me with my customer needs and I will always be behind them.

I will definately get the iPhone when Verizon carries it! If my company ends up supporting droid remote access to my compqny email and intranet before Verizon gets the iPhone, I'll go with the droid. For right now we only support iPhone and blackberry access but AT&T coverage is terrible in my area.
