reset my phone but forgot gmail i used for google snyc please help

hi, i did a hard reset on my Samsung phone and when it powered back on it asked for the google account i used for the phone, but i have forgotten what it was and i don't believe i have access to the account because it was a very old one please help i need my phone but don't want to buy a new one.

Try had to remember because without that information the phone is a paperweight.
