Resetting the samsung galaxy note 10.1 tablet

I've been having problems with my galaxy note 10.1 tablet. It will turn on, but it stays on the screen that just says Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. I tried doing the reset both with the power button and volume up, and the power and home button. When I did the volume up and power buttons, it would go to the screen that says Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet 2014 edition, then it freezes on that. What should I try next? Any suggestions?

Hard resets are done with the power button, volume up, and the home button. You need to be holding all three. Two out of three won't cut it.
