Retreaving messages

Hello,
I have a Panasonic answering machine, over 6 years old, 2002 maybe. Anyway, the answering message was lost. All I did was unplug the machine to move it, and when I plugged it in again, the message was gone, it will not play. We are afraid to rerecord for fear the old message, which we love, will be erased. Noone hit erase.

Did you have a battery backup in the machine? It may have needed that power to save the message. Once you unplugged it, it lost the power needed to keep it's memory. Just re-record it again.
