Mussolini would have been so proud!

I wonder if the RIAA and the MPAA will agree to have the government use spyware to make sure those organizations and those they serve are not doing anything illegal?

And who will run the spyware that makes sure the government isn't doing anything illegal?

[citation][nom]grillz9909[/nom]What about my rights?Oh wait this is America. Home of rich snobs and bad politics.[/citation]
Go to Israel or something. How about Australia? Poland? Russia? Japan? Plenty of other places.

Even if you somehow manage to avoid privacy issues... do they really think every business in the US is going to allow sensitive company secrets to be scanned by an outside agency when there is no safeguard as to how this data is stored, monitored, used? And once you bring in the US government which must also follow the law... how long until Congress realizes they don't want similar close observation of their activities?

Fortunately, I'm not concerned about this. It is an ill-conceived idea so broad in scope that it could never pass muster on any constitutional grounds. Besides--I don't think the RIAA or MPAA want the government to have access to every electronically copied document in their lobbying groups. That fact alone will make certain this idea is abandoned by the very people who propose it.

These folks have really got a nerve to think of these things.who the hell do they think they are ?invade my computer ?I THINK NOT !!!
boycott the riaa & mpaa. stop buying their krap new.buy used at a local store or ebay or amazon and these shysters will not get a dime and you will still get your music/film.

spread the word and let us show them WHO WE ARE !!!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... wooooo... hehe... that's good, real good.

How could the people at these "creative community organizations" possible think that these are good ideas? The government is going to laugh at them.

RIAA and MPAA are nothing more than a Neo-nazi group pushing for power. You cant stop the people. Eventually there will be an epic revolution. There days are numbered.

Buying used is certainly not a solution. Remember that someone has to buy the products NEW.

AVATAR makes $2+ Billion in theaters alone, so its surpassed Titanic.

So stay the FRACK out of our computers.

Yes, people *WILL* pirate Avatar... removal of data or installing root-kits (pretty much) is WRONG.

But people like me will BUY Avatar on DVD on the 22nd. And I so want the 3D version... but need a 3D TV too.

RIAA & MPAA - go suck each other.

Does anyone read the Constitution any more? Illegal search and seizure ring a bell??? Due process????

You think they won't try think again they have already hacked into peoples computers to get evidence on copyright infringers ,look up the mediasentry fiasco and what is worse they will lobby capital hill and make a huge fat payment to some governor and other officials to push their agenda.

These guys will go to extremes even as far as breaking the law, someone should be watching the riaa and mpaa , they have broken federals laws over a dozen times and use others a fall guys to take the rap ie. mediasentry which no longer exists.

There's no way in Bloody Hell that I would even remotely allow them into my network, never mind my systems.Them blood suckers fail to distinguish between legal and illegal files on systems, deleting them all regardless of the source.

They don't care what so ever and it's already been proven time and time again that they'll just bleed people dry just to get the money they're after regardless if you're innocent or not.

And what about people who're creating their own stuff whether it be video or audio, home movie, school work or something new that they hope will earn them some big money?

Is the RIAA or MPAA going to come in and just delete it cause they are just going to decide that it's illegal content just because it's there and wasn't purchased?

This really stinks big time!
