When I play sound through my JVC RX-707V receiver the left side works perfectly but the right side makes a muffled crackling over the sound. I can still hear the sound I am playing but it is very quiet and sounds terrible through the speaker. I know it's not the wiring to the speaker or the speaker because I have another receiver and it works great through that one. How do I fix this?

There is nothing wrong with my speaker or the connection to the speaker. I tested the speakers with a different receiver and they work fine.

If the cable & speaker are good, then it has to be the output feed to the receiver. You could have a component failure in the radio. Give Best Buy radio repair a call, tell them the above info & see if they can repair?

Is there any way I could go about fixing it myself?

I had the same problem. There could one or more failed electrolytic power capacitors. Mine leaked
a brown liquid (the electrolyte) that hardened on the circuit board. Replacing several caps that
had leaked restored the power and sound quality. I bought mine from Digikey.
