How does the virus represent? Have any names? What shortcuts is it making? Is it removing or altering them in any way? Can you check your Task Manager for any malicious processes, and if there are any, write them down to use and kill the process afterward?

Delete the infected/hostile shortcut, create a new one from start menu from confirmed valid location?
