Rotel RB 1070 Protection Mode

I have a rotel RB1070 amp which i purchased sometime in 2003, i notice since yesterday, every time i turned on the power, the protection mode lights up for about 2 to 3 seconds. The audio works perfectly. Is this something to be concern about. Do I have a short circuit somewhere? Please help. Thanks

If the amp is playing then there is no short circuit. The protection circuit may be taking longer to disengage due to aged parts. If you notice hum from the amp with the volume down then it will be time to get it restored or replaced.
