Hey everyone. Long story short, my internal Samsung 1 TB HDD is giving me trouble. It is about 3 years old and its almost full. Want to back it up but 2 of my external HDD's are full too. I need to buy another one and pay day is 13 days away. Just did a SMART test on HD Tune Pro and got the following results. I have no idea what they mean so could someone interpret it for me? How bad is it and how much longer might it last? Will slowing down my PC usage extend its life? Any help would be appreciated! Here's the data from HD Tune -

It's fairly bad. I would suggest backing up and replacing the drive ASAP. There is no way to tell you that it will last another day or another 3 weeks, but the drive IS going to fail. If you want to save the data on it, do it soon.
Do not attempt to run anymore HD tests either. I have had hard drives go into complete failure during testing, as these tests stress the drive and can cause the failure to happen sooner.
I would say do not use the drive until you can back it up.
If you can, replace the drive with an SSD and avoid the pain of this type of failure in the future.

just a side note, Samsung HDD's are known to have a high fail rate. I would not suggest buying another samsung.

Thank you! I just finished backup up my data onto a new Seagate 2 TB drive. Amazon Prime to the rescue. Hope the internal HDD lasts a few more months at least. I was planning on replacing my laptop either way.
