Been searching +2 weeks for a laptop now and to no avail. I’m looking to get into a bit of gaming while also sustaining my (extended) browsing habits.

*BUT battery and a long-lasting laptop with solid performance is all that really matters to meeeee.

1. What is your budget?

$0-$1100ish for something that’ll keep up it’s performance for a long time. $800ish-$1000ish would be nice but for something good and long-lasting I’d invest (like +1500 if needed)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Really prefer 15” or bigger is ok I suppose

13” is too small, 17” is too big (but I can flex on that)

3. What screen resolution do you want?

1980 x 1080 but ehhhh as long as the resolution is not completely trash I’m good

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Portable for sure! But 3-4 lbs. works for me just fine as portable

5. How much battery life do you need?

ALLLL the battery life! As long as is practically possible for a laptop (that I can also possibly casually game on occasion).

7hrs-infinity and beyond (like 13 *gasp*)

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Indie games, maybe Fortnight or PUBG? Nothing too intense.

Medium or High would be preferable, but I know High is unlikely to get with what I’d like. Low is okay

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

I mostly plan on browsing, watching videos, and possibly casually gaming. So I dunno if any of that counts. A touchscreen would be nice though and a webcam for sure

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

500GB would be good but I wouldn’t turn down up to 2TB xD

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

For as long as possible! I’d prefer it to last at least 5 years though...

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

DVD would be ok but isn’t necessary

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I’m open to mostly anything- I have a real love-hate relationship with Macs. While I’ve looked at Macs and LOVE how long it lasts and the persisting performance and quality...I absolutely hate the layout and dislike that you can’t delete some of Apple’s apps and that certain games cant run on Mac...plus I guess they’re kinda pricey and the new MacBook has that useless touchbar.
I keep going back on forth on them, so unless it’s the best out there or some other great reason, I probably wouldn’t buy one.

13. What country do you live in?

U.S.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I’m afraid of spending too much if it’s just going to break in a few years...I’d like something to last as long as possible and keep its quality performance/speed. That’s super important to me! Second goes battery and casual gaming ability.
Also as long as the audio/screen resolution isn’t absolutely awful I’m good, just to sum up.

*NOTE: gaming is not at all as important to me as battery, laptop longevity, and performance/speed

*EDIT: If it helps, these are the specs for my current laptop. So practically anything would be a leg up.

also gta and bf work on it but you need to trim the settings down..

pay what you can afford, however you will use it every single day and so it will pay off its money eventually.
I would rather work 1 month more to get the gigabyte one. however I am a student myself an I got the lowest laptop.
because in the end all I do is league. however I got a high end gaming pc next to it, and I worked all summer holidays in order to afford it. Worth.
