Question S3 Neo not charging

I have this old S3 Neo that I wanted to give to someone who has never used a smartphone. However, the problem is that it doesn't charge. I tried two batteries (one was bought not that long ago as a replacement) and none of them charge. Ampere is showing 300-600 mA and the phone works with the battery that still has charge. The phone also doesn't show anything when plugged in without a battery. What could be the problem and is it worth fixing?

Yes, I have tried probably all the chargers and cables I have.

If it won't charge and the cords are good, then it is likely an internal issue. Not something that would be a simple fix. If it is worth the cost, you could take it to a tech, but that is up to you.
