Even though I've been using a computer at work for a decade now, I'm probably still fairly ignorant about things like graphic cards, memory ram, processors, etc..

Seriously considering a Sagar Notebook 9262 for flight simulation gaming and need some advice. Is the nvidia 9800M GTX a great card? What level of rank would it be in compared to the very latest models. I've been digging around and found this MMX tech stuff - assuming the 9262 will be upgradable?

The Sagar site seems to want a little more $ than Xoticpa. Any recommendations? Support from both site?

The only choice changes I made was to the quad processor and XP Pro. Any other like ram should I make?

Thanks for your time :hello:

The 9800mGTX is, I believe, the best card on the market right now for the mobile sector.

The 9262 is upgradable - but the cost is steep. Expect $500-$600 a card.

Both Sager and XoticPC are the same thing, really. If you call Sager and tell them of XoticPC's price, generally they'll lower theirs.

Don't get XP pro. It's old, and now Vista x64 is all around better. Especially if you're loading 4GB of ram or more in this machine. XP x64 is really unsupported and you'll run in to far more driver issues than you will with Vista x64.

Evidently, laptops can't compete w/ desktops f/ the latest/greatest video cards, not enough room i guess?

Are we saying that 4 GB ram can only be supported in vista64 bit?

Probably will have to lower my wants all around.

Been using xp pro for some time now and what with windows 7 just around the corner, can't see trying to learn vista now.

Thanks for all the replys

I agree with frozenlead and logan about SAGER NP9262,its the best laptop out there in terms of performance.

Also 9800MGTX is actually a desktop 8800GT since they both have 112 stream processors (compared to 128 of 8800GTS 512)
