I have a Samsung Duos Grand 2;
I am trying to make the alarm to ring at 7am but it is not ringing. could be that I have to leave it switched on?

Usually I switch it off during the night!

Yeah, your alarms are not going to go off if your phone is turned off. You need to leave it on for it to do anything.
