My S3 wont charge when put on a wall charger. I plugged it in to a car charger yesterday for an hour and it did not charge and got really hot. Why and what can I do?

Possibly an issue with your battery. I would test with a different battery to see if that works (costs about $10 to buy a new one online).

Thanks but my phone has a built in battery. You can't take it out.

The Samsung Galaxy S3? I'm pretty sure it has a removable battery in every version. I just removed the battery from mine as I am typing this.

Oh duh! I'm sorry I was thinking of my Razor that I had. I haven't had any issues with my phone. The phone with the issue is my daughters.
Thanks. I will consider a new battery if you think that may solve the problem of not charging and overheating.

Haha no problem! The issue may not be with the battery, but it's very cheap to get a replacement so it's definitely worth a try.
