so my galaxy s5 lcd screen broke and ive been using the program called "sidesync" which allows you to use your computer as a monitor but recently the phone has just been restarting randomly and ive finally had a bit of money to jsut buy a new galaxy phone. i wanted to know if i moved the sim card from my old phone to a new one would all the data be moved? or would i just have to move everything to my sd card then paste it back once its in the new phone? would the same method be useful for when putting a s5 sim card into an s6 or s4? or do they have to be the same phone to work?

Your internal storage, unless you have it synced online, will not move to the new phone when you move the SIM card. You need to copy it over to the SD card first, then the new phone can see those files from the SD card.
