Samsung Galaxy s7 I changed cell providers from verizon to cricket still get Verizon startup. I also ge an Error code "SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless. "

Well the start up image and info usually won't change when you change providers, as the phone was gotten through them. Even if you stop the service and remove any SIM it is going to give you that.

Now in regard to the phone would have to be unlocked. If it isn't then you would get the error about it not being a Verizon SIM.

If it isn't unlocked, then you will need to contact Verizon to get them to unlock it. Once unlocked, it should recognize a SIM card from any other CDMA carrier/service provider, including Cricket.
