Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 won't respond when I swipe with finger

I have replaced the the battery and screen digitizer on this tablet and I now it won't respond to a finger swipe. Battery is working fine. I thought it was the digitizer yet that has been replaced as well. Can someone please tell what the problem could be? Thank you for your help.

Have you checked to make sure all things were correctly reconnected with you changed out the digitizer? Also did you make sure to calibrate the touch screen?

Yes, I have checked to make sure all things were correctly reconnected. But I did not calibrate the touch screen. How do I do that??

It is usually in "Settings" and then "Display".
