Samsung galaxy y problm

I have a problem with my phone samsung galaxy young that when i tried charging it, there's a blue coloured battery symbol which is crossed.and phone is not getti g charged. Any solution for this. ?

First, reseat the battery, if that does not help, replace the battery. I take it you would have already tried another cord and charger correct?
