Samsung GS4 ran over, need to recover data

Hi! Long story short, I was coming home from a lamping trip when I stupidly left my phone on the car roof. Needless to say it was too late when I realized my mistake. And I'm simply over the moon to pay for a new one.

I tried to turn it back on, but it wouldn't. I tried a different battery, and it still wouldn't turn on. So, yeah.. Am I screwed, or is there a way to get my data?

Turn it on and see if it'll connect to a computer (the screen may be to damaged to show a picture).

Tried plugging it in and nothing happened, seems like it's completely screwed

If some of your data is on the removable Micro SD card you can remove that from the phone and use a card reader to transfer that data to the computer. To get data off the internal storage the phone would have to be turned on.
