Samsung HDTV to computer

Hello guys

Have a little problem. Yesterday I bought a Samsung LED 46" 200Hz 3D TV(UE46C7705), and I bought a 10 meter HDMI caple as well. But my computer doesnt support HDMI, so i guess the connection is HDMI to DVI now.
Anyway when I extend my computer screen to my new TV, and I play e.g. Avatar in VLC player on my TV, from my computer, the picture seems to be lagging.
Anybody who knows what might be the problem? The set-up maybe?

You need to look thru the TV menu and set display to 60hz, anything higher is great for blu ray movies but will make games lag.

VLC is iffy on it's DXVA support. Try playing your video in MPC-HC and see if the playback is better.

Also, what's your CPU usage during playback? What format is Avatar in (blu-ray, mkv, what codec?)
