Samsung i85 pics-problem

Something is wrong with my dig.camera. I was hoping to fix it myself, but I need to find out exactly what's wrong first. Help, anyone?
The problem: Can record movies in all kinds of lighting. Can take pics in dim light and in the dark. BUT when I take pics in daylight, the pics become too white and have horizontal stripes. This happened once last year ("lens assy" replaced by dealer), but then ALL photos/videos had stripes.
Any ideas as to what this might be??

I am having the exact problem! The first few times I used the camera outside taking a movie, it was great! This past weekend I tried, for the first time, to take pictures outside and they were too light and had horizontal stripes. I'd also be interested to find out if anyone has some thoughts on this.
