Samsung magician does not show information for mSATA 840EVO

I have a Dell m4600 with a 250GB 2.5" 840EVO as the OS Drive and a 250GB mSATA 840EVO for a Data Drive. Samsung magician recognizes both drives, but it only shows information for the 2.5" OS drive. When the mSATA drive is selected, it shows "Information is only available for Samsung drives." Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

Was the mSata drive in the machine when you got it? Samsung Magician does not support OEM drives, even if they are Samsung.

no, it originally had a 500GB HDD. I bought the 2.5" about a year ago and the mSATA a couple weeks ago.
