Samsung Model: No NP700Z5A-S02UK Graphics Drivers

Going around in Circles trying to update drivers for my laptop.

It's my understanding that it has a dual graphics chip/card
1x AMD Radeon 6600m/6700 series
1x Intel (possibly) Intelkmd ? - but this is currently listed as Std vga

My 1st issue began after a auto windows update which sent my system into a bootloop with complaints about Graphics driver signatures.. this was stopping my system from starting up correctly.

I eventually had to go right back to A recovery DVD and start a fresh .. but windows 7 now does not seem to recognize my graphics card/s or their onboard memory.

I went to AMD and got the latest drivers as the samsung update (700mb) just keeps crashing the system. My current thinking is I need to find Intel drivers and maybe update Directx

its seems I have directx 8 and AMD supports DirectX11
any body got a suggestion where I might be going wrong ??
and where do i get IntelKMD drivers (if needed).

(As a side note: I read somewhere that the AMD drivers need to come from samsung as they are dedicated to the laptop ?? and wont get auto updated from AMD ??)
does that make any sense to you guys.. ?
if so I kinda feel stuffed cas samsung update just falls over.

i'm feel quite nervous about these dam auto updates from windows as I have had some issues before ..and wish I could install them
1 at a time ... i.e 1 each day
(THAT WAY) i could vet what's causing my issues.

hi, originally I followed the Samsung Update path (software update part of laptop onboard factory software).
AMD PowerXpress WIN7 Graphics Driver 8.930.0.0000-WHQL,OpenGL Nike only (715 MB (749,933,788 bytes))

this kept offering me a 700+mb Download from samsung.. however it crashed the system everytime and NEVER WORKED.. after three failed attempts I looked at going direct to samsang.
however i'm still having problems..

I now have (AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series)
driver version: 15.200.1062.1004
driver dated : 03/08/2015
Location : PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0
Status: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Plus (Microsoft)
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

I'd try uninstalling the AMD Radeon driver beforehand. Right click on it in the Device Manager and click "uninstall".

Then, try the file I gave you. It comes from Samsung directly. Install all the files included. If there is still issues, you can at least try installing the HD 3000 drivers.

As for the "standard VGA", it should be HD Graphics 3000 for this PC.

Hello Natsukage, 1st thank you for all your kind help and reply's: I did follow your advice and d/l the VGA_AMD_8.951.9.3000 drivers: at 1st try I was excited because the display drivers appeared in the device manager as:
AMD Radeon HD 6750M and
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family

However the same problem happened (the laptop) failed to restart and went into a attempted repair mode and then offered a restore option. this happened a number of times. until I eventually interrupted the failed bootups with a Safe mode option.

Long story Short:
My 1st attempt to reload the operating system from the Recovery DVD actually turned out to be a recovered system image from a hidden volume on the laptop. This came branded with software from Samsung and misc others .. I used this Samsung Update software to DOWNLOAD ALL CURRENT DRIVERS. to my D:\ [drive] after misc attempts to update all drivers I came right back to the same problem..

From here I got quite dis-heartened And started Once again from scratch this time Actually using the
Samsang / Win7 DVD RECOVERY DISC.

I now have a Nice FRESH Win7 home premium edition without any Samsung addons and updates.
All the current SAMSUNG Drivers where copied over From D:\ to the C:\ [Drive] folder ready for installation (as /or when needed)

The laptop started with the std Vga drivers and the
Ethernet / Lan / USB /PCI bus all needed updating as follows:
LAN Driver_7.45.516.2011
Wireless LAN Driver_5.60.350.21_64bit
Wireless LAN Driver_15.0.0.75_64bit
Windows 7 SP1 common patch(es)
Chipset Driver_9.2.0.1019
Intel ME Interface Driver_7.0.0.1144

Finally everything in the device manager was happy apart from the 2x Graphics Adapters (listed as Std VGA)

tested the laptop - restart and stop a number of times and PC stopped and booted up as expected..
Loaded the Graphics Driver_8.930.0.0000 driver Which (B.T.W when unzipped is 715mb).
this is when the laptop actually fails to reboot normally and complains about driver signatures. as follows:

but always locks the laptop into a repair mode that fails and then a Boot-up failure!

In the short term I've started the laptop in safe mode and just clicked uninstall on each of the AMD & Intel Display drivers and allowed the system to revert back to Std VGA x2

I'm feeling so close yet so far away from resolving this issue.
I have now read else where, that this may be a Malware issue? I do believe the error message is only relevant and present when I try to use the Catalyst Control Center / Graphics Driver_8.930.0.0000

I have ran the custom option and ticked all the boxes but I can't get past this Problem Signature issue..

ANY HELP OR ADVICE gratefully accepted.
I have loaded Norton Antivirus and ran Norton Power eraser..

I have tried both:
Catalyst Software Suite: 15.7.1
Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta: Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta

And neither driver sets work for me >

My problem seems to be that my system does not recognise the graphics hardware (i mean at one stage) I can see :
AMD Radeon HD 6750M and
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family drivers

loading into the device manager and then they evaporate and try to revert back to Std VGA
My current device manager state is :

Display adopters:
1x This device is working properly.
1x This device cannot start. (Code 10)

everything else seems OK and working..

as stated before I have Norton A/V loaded and working
however I wanted to rule out any MALWARE
so I downloaded and run :
MIcrosoft : Windows-KB890830-x64-V5.42

this has ran a quick scan on system files and found no issues
However:
this has ran but failed to complete 3x on a full system scan and seems to spend hours and hours scanning ... and reports 2 infections... but the PC switches it self off before completion and does not offer a report or listing of the said infections ! ..

I've also started looking at the [ntbtlog.txt] BOOT logs and noticed that I had loads and loads of driver loaded than not loaded.. I also noticed in the MSCONFIG (system configuration) that the Boot advanced section allows options for number of processors:
I found this set at 1x and I have changed this to 4x

this has made a monument difference to the boot log with only 3x system files now reported as loaded than reverting to Not loaded:

I know I seem to have gone off on a tangent but nothing as yet ? is allowing me to get my graphic adaptors recognised by the system and working as they should.. even the std.vga has error code [This device cannot start. (Code 10)]

Before I tried your solution I downloaded and tried a program called Driver Easy v.5.1.4
It's a Similar type of program to the Samsung Update Program. (however) it only searches out the drivers and not all the misc bundled software like Norton A.V. ,Samsung Kies and others..

It highlighted 28x drivers that was available for update.
the thing is apart from the AMD Display drivers none of these where flagged up when I used the latest version of - Samsung update

So from here I recreated a restore point and updated 26x drivers 1 by 1 and rebooted as or when required..
some of these drivers where USB roots/HUBS and Intel Sandy Bridge chip-set

I then used the DDU which I already had on board and have used previously
I left the Intel(R) HD GRAPHICS 3000 TILL 2nd from last
this loaded as all other the drivers did (seamlessly) the computer behaved as expected right up to this point.



the DRIVER EASY PROGRAM WAS OFFERING ME
AMD Radeon 6600m and 6700M series as the driver update dated 2015-08-03
driver version 15.200.1062.1004

as everything thus far was seamless and multiple other drivers that could be beneficial like chip-set and stuff had now been updated I gave driver 28 a try..

it seemed to start off updating OK then the bar graphic stopped mid point the the computer locked up completely I waited a good while to see if it would complete but had no joy..
via Ctrl/Alt/Del I used the task manager to end the process..
tried a 2nd time and got same results...

done a system Restore and checked that everything was or seemed to be, resorted back to 27x drivers updated (incl) the Intel(R) HD GRAPHICS 3000

FROM I unpacked and tried the driver set you kindly sent me
VGA_AMD_8.951.9.3000
used the DDU to clean the AMD drivers then rebooted
and attempted via it's own setup to load the drivers
every thing seemed to be installing ok, I even got AMD Radeon 6750m showing in the device manager alongside the Intel(R) HD GRAPHICS 3000

than the reboot message arrived which i followed and then the computer failed to boot-up
leaving me with a black screen and curser in the top left hand corner it just sat there blank with no hard-disk activity !

eventually I hit the power button to re-boot and got the message
windows failed to start retry normal start-up or recovery ?

had to choose restore to get back in to windows...
however the restore point seemed to take me right back to needing 27x drivers to be updated
rather than just the AMD display drivers ?

so be honest I needed a break from this and just took a couple of day away from it
Im now back to only needing the AMD Radeon driver update..
I still seem to have the Catalyst Control Centre
but it says CCC can not be started there are currently no settings that can be configured using CCC

I am pretty disappointed because i seem so close to resolving each and every time..

F.Y.I. I have not tried updating with the Norton Anti.V switched off and wonder if that would help ?
and with the Intel(R) HD GRAPHICS 3000 I can now get a screen resolution of 1600 x 900
this is the 1st time since trying to resolve this driver issue that its offered anything above 1280 x 720

another observation:
under the computer properties tab there is a windows experience Index scaled 1.0 - 7.9
the sections listing
Graphics (desktop performance for windows Aero) has now raised from 1.0 up to 5.9
Gaming graphics (3D business &gaming graphics performance ) has now raised from 1.0 up to 5.9

so some definite improvements have been gained by using this driver easy program ..
