samsung notebook number keys no longer working

i have a samsung note book nc ten the number keys and the caps lock no longer works> all i get is the symbols typed out as if someone was typing with the caps lock held down

Please make sure you have all the drivers updated, next go to control panel and search for, region and language and check if your formats are correct, location, and using your keyboard layout. In my case i have windows in english but use a portuguese keyboard layout, but sometimes it changes the keyboard
