Trying to connect via wifi, tried the modem reset to no avail.
I have just bought the Series 9 UHD tv & it's going my head in trying to get it to connect. Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Omg I love u

I just bought a new smart tv today and it figured that today's update screwed it up. I spent the hours on hold until I found this and I tried the 8888 and it worked like magic. I'm glad too because everyone was telling me to return the tv and I didn't want to go out again!

THIS WORKED!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

THANK YOU!!!

I have comcast and thought changing to their DNS at 75.75.75.75 would work. But, sure enough, 8.8.8.8 somehow made the TV connect again. BTW, it had been fine using auto settings for 2+ years. Strange that it needed this manual setting.

All frustrated users should try this trick first.

Thanks again

Thank you soooo much for this! It worked right away.

What is the solution for those not working with 8.8.8.8 DNS?
So exciting to buy...upset with these connectivity issues. Posted review in SAMSUNG site...and they removed it...🙂

Is this going to be Next SAMSUNG TAB issue?

I am network engineer, just want to add this 8888 is a kludge solution, OK if it fixes your problem fine, do it, but I gotta say it feels more like something to hide a defect on Samsung's firmware, hence not working for everybody. A properly working TV should work by using easy DHCP and no further tinkering necessary, specially if other devices on the same LAN work fine.

You are correct. This is just temporary solution which they have provided; By the time they release the new firmware version, All UHD's will be returned back 🙂

Thanks,
