Solved! Samsung Smart TV can't play 1080p movies from USB

Whenever I try to play a 1080p video from a USB (1hr 3.24GB) it plays for a few seconds and then all the pixels break/get distorted then plays fine for another few seconds and repeats.

Works fine with 720p 25 min video.

The videos are not corrupted, they work completely fine on desktop, laptops, phones.

Is this because of the bandwidth of USB 2.0? (I have already tried using 2 different USB drives)

Could be bandwidth but it would not be an issue due to it being USB 2, that has more than enough speed to play 1080 video. Did you try using several other USB sticks and test it on another TV model? I play back 1080 videos and even 4k from USB all the time but mine is an LG TV.
