Samsung smart TV losing wifi connectivity

Hi guys...

TV loses wifi whenever I am using Netflix. I moved the ADSL modem/router from main floor office to basement where TV is...it now has a direct line of sight to the TV which is 20 ft away. Still can't get through one movie without the wifi going bye bye.

Download speed is consistent at 9+ MB/sec. All other devices using that network never lose connectivity.

Got an Amazon Fire TV stick for Christmas and Netflix on that is great...never drops at all. I have run an ethernet cable to the TV and that works just fine, but I don't really want to connect the cable each time i want to use the TV.

No, the problem started well before I got the Fire TV stick, and I don't have the stick in the TV when I have the problem...so it is not related at all.
