Samsung Tablet Overheating

I am only on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 for about 5 mins and it gets so hot it burns.

Are you sure it's a genuine Samsung product? A lot of cheap Chinese clones are badged with that name and have been known to combust or even explode. Have you replaced the battery with a cheap one?

No it has the original battery and I bought it from Argos

Good - at least that means you can take it back and show them how hot it becomes. If they're buying cheap clones, they should replace it with a proper battery but it may be they aren't aware their products are flawed. Either way, you come out of it with a replacement unit.

are you keeping it plugged in like a laptop to the wall as that will make it heat up badly

Is this a real samsung or a chinese cheaper brand. No one have ever complained about over heating of the samsung product. except it has had contact with liquid in the past. possible reason why.

My Tab 4 10.1 had been overheating for ages and restarting itself all the time. I replaced the thermal pad that sits on top of the gpu inside the tablet. Easy to do and cost about £1 for the thermal pad.
Mine works perfect now.
