Hello, I have an out of warranty Samsung TV and I went today to a Samsung Authorized Reparation Centre and they told me that the TV Panel was broken and the fix would normally cost $3000 for my tv, meaning that its not worth fixing it. What should I do now? Just throw it to the garbage? is there an easy alternative you guys could provide?
Here is attached an image of the tv screen http://imgur.com/a/bpuUF

Model code: UN46B6000VFXZA

What makes me feel bad about this is just throwing to the garbage a $3000 TV. :S

If you have a different diagnosis or advice, please let me know.

could be the main board or wires between the main board and the lcd panel. hard to troubleshoot it though without just having replacement parts available. try gently banging on the back side of the tv plastic or shacking it. if the img goes in and out it could just be the wiring loose.
