The funny thing is they buy a lot of each other panels. You might buy a Samsung TV with an LG panel or an LG TV with a Samsung panel. They also buy other panels from the same Taiwanese manufacturers.

I wouldn't say either is better than the other. The best way to get feel for which is best for you is to check them out at a quality electronics retailer. Find the one that looks best to you, has the best price and best warranty.
