In the video they show the CPU serial number which I hope does not allow Samsung to trace back where the phone came from.

a 1.4ghz cpu, 1gb ram and an 8mp camera......hardly the spec i was hoping for

Perhaps you missed the part about the cpu being a QUAD core clocked at 1.4 ghz?

Would have been more excited if it were 1280x720, not 1184x720. At 4.6in, it still doesn't reach the iPhone 4 pixel density of 330ppi.

I think 1280x720 @ 4.5in is the sweet spot. It's a true widescreen "HD" resolution, the phone isn't absurdly large, and it closely reaches the iPhone 4's pixel density with 326ppi.

Unfortunately, that isn't the case. However, it's shipping with Icecream and it's quad-core, so I guess that's good. I wonder how the battery will fare...

At first I was a little bothered having my gs2 trumped so quickly. I suddenly dont feel as bad though. I think I will just keep and use my gs2 instead of worrying about having the latest and greatest.

I waited forever for a nice screen on a functional phone, and finally got one. I know it is subjective, but my needs have been met.

I remember looking at PDAs at futureshop in 1995, I almost cried wishing for something like my gs2.. which simply didnt exist.

This is not the galaxy s3. Korean sites are reporting this as the i9300 Galaxy M (basically a mid range galaxy) and theverge and other sites already have confirmation that the testers have galaxy s3 components in test / prototype casings so as to not show it IS a GS3.

Carry on .

[citation][nom]Cy-Kill[/nom]Why does everything look crooked in the following screenshot, and then certain things do not even look like they are shaped properly:http://i904.photobucket.com/albums [...] 3/case.jpg[/citation]

Someone's bad at photoshop?

I would like to see these specs and this thickness on a 3.5" screen... and running Android of course. I just don't have pockets for a 4.6" phone.

[citation][nom]Vladislaus[/nom]The GPU is a bit of a disappointment. It comes with the exact same GPU as in the Galaxy S II. I was hoping for a Mali-T604.[/citation]

This is because it is NOT the Galaxy S3.

I kinda don't trust this leak... The specs are too lame IMO.

Gonna keep holding my breath for the official release.

Cheers!

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]Not as impressive as I thought, Nor the reported 12mp camera either or quad core cpu ??[/citation]
Err, it quite clearly says...
packing a 1.4Ghz quad-core CPU
Also the video came back up and he went into the setting and showed all 4 cores
OK, no 12mp camera, but still an epic reading fail

So a quad core 1.4 ghz is lame for a SMARTPHONE?!

LOL.
