SATA2 in laptop bad choice?

Hello!

I'm considering buying ASUS N56JR-S4032H with good specs, extremely nice design and good speakers. The only thing that worries me is that it uses SATA 2. Would that be a problem if im upgrading to a SSD? Do you have a better suggestion for a similar PC?

8 GB RAM,
750 GB HDD,
DVD SuperMulti,
15.6" 1920 x 1080 / Full HD,
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M

Also good battery life is an issue for me!

That notebook has SATAIII not SATAII as per ASUS's specs -> http/www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N56JR/specifications/

I don't know where you read about SATA-II because the chipsets for that processor natively support SATAIII it would be strange for them not to use the 4 SATA-III ports on that chipset (HM86).

Also good battery life is an issue for me!

In that case, you could try and find a laptop with a Maxwell-based graphics card, like the GTX 850M. Maxwell is more power-efficient, and the 850M is a bit faster than the 760M while drawing less power.
