Someone has a live imagination. The complexities involved are far to big to think that in 25 years we'll have unlocked them. I doubt nano tech has anything to do with our bodies within 15 years. 40 years ago, we thought we'd have conquered cancer by now and look at us.

He could have phrased it better, but he is right, Religious fanatics form all sides will oppose, take this to court, try and get this type of tech killed off cause it does not fit with their view of the world. It's happened before and will happen again.

I was thinking the Environmentalists would fight this one. Other religions might see this as ushering in a Messianic age. One of the big criticisms of this guy seems to be that he is a big New Age spirituality fan, and these statements might stem more from his religious views (and goals to sell books) than from any scientific understanding.

I believe nanotechnology will be so powerful that it will enable us to all that has been written in the article. But as we know, every machine we make is flawed too. if this is true this will probably bring more negatives with it then positives, humanity is not ready. there would be hate crime with religious fanatics killing people who took such a thing, possibly a real holy war.

I would have to say any one becoming immortal would be required to leave earth and attempt to settle a different planet, as the time getting there is no longer a factor for you.
