Screen 2/3rd white

Hello,on loading can only see top 1/3 of screen cannot see full items to select ie, next-cancel etc

An update windows load and background is there and desktop background,but I can only acces a few icons and then only see a 1/3rd of the window ,it's like having a window blind a 1/3rd down!!!!

Have connected to spare monitor and everything ok,does that mean the Screen has 'gone'

What you could check is the connection at the back of the screen, but I'm sure the problem is the screen itself.
