Screen colours for best result

Because of the layout and ambient light in the room I plan to use, I rather fancy an ultra short throw projector with 3000 claimed lumins and am not sure of the colour of the screen for best results. Can anyone shed any light on this. (no pun intended!)

If you are assuming that the short throw projectors will overcome ambient light better than a far throw I am not sure that's the case. A screen that rejects ambient light may be more important. These are usually light to dark grey. Screen Innovations was the first with this type of screen. Other makers offer similar products now.
